THANK YOU for Making PETSTOCK 2012 a Huge Success!!!

We want to thank everyone for making our first Petstock adoption event a huge success. Even with the iffy weather, people came out in very large numbers (we’re estimating 3-400 attendees!!)       There were 11 animals officially adopted and many other possible connections from the event.   The 50/50 raffle earned over $200 for the various shelter groups(we did a 50/50 each hour for a different group each time.)

Photographer Amy Sornberger donated her time to help us make money for our Pet Assistance Fund by taking Pet Portraits. The photos were fantastic, she did over 30 of them!

Please give her a call at 331-6278 for any and all photography needs you may have. We have used her services on many occasions and she does a great job.

We had lots of people show in some great Pet-Stock attire for themselves and their dogs..

There were several shelter groups on site and we wish to thank them individually for all their time and effort in caring for these homeless pets and volunteering so tirelessly to find these animals a home.

Lastly and mostly I want to thank our awesome crew!! Our staff did a fantastic job and the one who deserves the most credit is Amanda Flynn – you rock! This was Amanda’s brainchild and she did all the organizing. You really pulled it off! Congrats! Our receptionist Erica also gets lots of credit for a job well done. She, Amanda, Jess, Erin, Mac and Mac’s mom made tie-dyes for the whole crew last weekend (they came out great – I will wear mine with pride!). Everyone worked hard with preparations and on Saturday our staff was amazing.  Sandee, Erin, Kim and Dr. Scott giving tours, Kim’s husband Kent and daughter Cheyenne were making popcorn all afternoon, Debbie ran the Bounce House with the help of her daughters Brooke  and Heather, Amanda’s mom Tina and our new staff member Jill ran the bake sale (thank you so much), Dr. Scott’s husband Paul baked some truly amazing banana bread (had it for breakfast today) and some out-of-this-world cookies (Thanks Paul – have you considered opening a bakery?), Jill’s husband Rob and their son James directed traffic all day (THANKS) (also a big thanks to Boudreau Builders for allowing us to use their parking lot – all of it), Tina Z, our physical rehabilitation guru, ran the Purina Pet Obesity Awareness booth and 100 other things, Amanda and her friend AJ ran the t-shirt tie dying all afternoon along with Erica and technician Mac and her mom! (thank you – you made LOTS of AWESOME shirts) (AJ was a godsend doing everything from computer graphics to repairing the irrigation line the tent installers punched through) ,our new Amanda ran the popular Petstock Dog Park, our friend Katrina along with my son Dane and his friend Tynan sold over $400 worth of 50/50 tickets! Dr. Brennan did an awesome job running the face painting with our daughter Kaia along with her friends, Orion, Sophia,  and Adrian painted faces all afternoon. Dr. B’s husband Kevin was a big help, too, at the bounce house and cleanup. THANKS TO YOU ALL FOR MAKING IT A GREAT EVENT!!!   SEE YOU AT PETSTOCK 2013!
