Melanie Brennan, DVM

Dr. Brennan is originally from Stratford, Connecticut, and graduated from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Animal Science and Pathobiology in 2002. She immediately went on to veterinary school, earning her DVM from Tufts University in North Grafton, Massachusetts in May 2006.

After graduating from Tufts, Dr. Brennan moved to the Capital Region with her husband and three cats; Boomer, Timmy and Dewey. She worked as a small-animal veterinarian at Colonie Animal Hospital in Albany from June 2006 through July 2009. She then joined the Ballston Spa Veterinary Clinic in October 2009 after taking some time off to have her first daughter, born in July 2009.

Dr. Brennan enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, especially soft-tissue surgery and internal medicine. In her free time she spends as much time as possible with her family and friends, and especially looks forward to summertime at her family's camp on Schroon Lake.
